Mama and baby

My daughter will be three this July. She still loves kissing me every time when I hold her. I would not mind when she does it 10 or 20 even 30 years later. She’s always my baby.

Four eyes
Do they look like Josephine Siao?
They love playing with those Halloween glasses. I hope they will not need glasses for vision correction when they are older. That’s because I needed glasses when I was a teenager. I know how it’s like. It’s not convenience for kids who want to be active.

Boys Don’t Cry

Last night was the first time I saw this movie, Hilary Swank is a brilliant actress. No wonder she’s won two times Oscar. I am touched by the story of this movie. It’s made me feel like I am very lucky to be in this liberal city. I’ve been living in San Francisco for 10 years. Looks like everybody getting along very well.

Three minutes

Where were you on 2:28pm 5.12.2008 ?
The ground rocked, the sky swung, the three minutes was just like thirty years long to the local people. Everything they work for their whole life was destroy in three minutes.
All I can do is give moral support from a distance.

Welcome home

When I saw the balloons hanging outside their house, I knew it right a way, they must be waiting their love one come home from the war. There are thousands of families waiting everyday. I understand how it feels when the love ones are in danger. They are risking their lives for this country, every one of them earn respect from us.
( Web picture) There is a town call Lafayette in CA. It’ve got well known by displaying four thousands wood crosses symbolizing fallen soldiers. Some against it, some support it, after months of argument, they let it stay because of the freedom of speech.

It’s so hot!

We had 95 degree yesterday, the kids could not play outside for long because of the heat. The house was amazingly cool, we stayed inside and kept the windows and doors close, thanks for the good isolation of the house. She found a new idea of playing with my groves. A mother's dream

I was born and raised in Hong Kong, deeply influence by the east and west culture. I’ve been enjoying freedom since the very beginning of my life. My dream is that my children could have this freedom too. To be able to make this dream come true is that I decided to immigrant to USA, a truly free country could give me freedom to choose where and how to live, to travel, to do business, to have religions, to become a citizen and freedom of speech. Anywhere on this planet has this kind of freedom?

Wild life

If you are not living in the city, there is a very big chance you would see wild animals. Such as squirrels, raccoons, turkey, eagle, deer, mountain loin, bear. I saw raccoons twice myself in SF. One time, they were looking for food scraps in the garbage can at night, the other time, I saw one was dead at the curb. Watch out for letting kids play outdoors, I heard the news about mountain loin trying to drag a toddler from their back yard. Scary, isn’t it?

Dirt cake

It was not easy for me to see kids sit on the ground playing dirt. I was thinking that’s too dirty, but their daddy said, “Have you ever play dirt yourself when you were kid?” That’s true, I used to enjoy playing dirt when I was a kid, why should I stop my kids now? Oh well, heck with it, go ahead have fun! Let’s load up the washing machine later.

I miss you so much. How is everything in your world? We are fine. Sometimes, Evelyn would ask about you, “Do I have a grandmom?” I looked at your picture and tell her all about you. I said you were beautiful, hard working mother. You took care of five kids all by yourself, you did a good job as a mother and you are living in heaven now. Happy Mother’s Day!

The young man was send to the battle field, left his sweet heart at home, they would sing toward each other in long distance every day at 3 o’clock. The girl’s spirit was strong but not her body, later on she got a incurable disease, she tried to hang on there until her lover would come back, but before the guy was back, she pass a way. Finally, he got back but it’s too late, he won’t let go her body, he decided to marry her dead body. The ceremony was the saddest scene in all the movies I’ve watched.

Tourist Killer Weather

The weather of San Francisco is quite cold to people who are new here. My husband always quote Robert Frost’s poem “The coldest winter is the summer of San Francisco”, making fun of those tourists who are in T-shirts. Even in May, the temperature could drop to 50 degree at day, because of the fog and wind, so keep your coat handy.
